A plain-language explanation of what JaniMargin collects, why we collect it, and the choices available to you.

Effective and last updated: July 25, 2026

Short version: JaniMargin uses bid inputs, limited usage data, and any contact details you choose to provide to operate the service, protect it from abuse, and improve the product.

Restricted-access sign-in informationAccount name, email, and authentication status used to decide whether access is allowed.Processed by the hosting and sign-in providers while the site is privately restricted.

Please avoid entering sensitive personal information, payment-card data, government identifiers, health information, or confidential client information into free-text fields.

2. How we use information

  • Provide bid calculations, proposal output, and requested support.
  • Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and prevent misuse of the service.
  • Understand which product features are useful and improve pricing assumptions and workflows.
  • Communicate about early access, testing, service changes, and launch when you have asked to receive those messages.
  • Comply with applicable law, enforce our Terms, and protect JaniMargin, its users, and others.

3. When we share information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information:

  • To infrastructure, database, security, authentication, and other service providers that process information for us under appropriate restrictions.
  • When required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and service integrity.
  • As part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
  • At your direction or with your consent.

Our current hosting stack uses Cloudflare-based infrastructure. While access remains restricted, sign-in is provided through OpenAI authentication. Those providers may process technical and account information under their own terms and privacy notices.

4. Cookies, tracking, and Do Not Track

JaniMargin does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party behavioral advertising trackers. Essential cookies may be used by the restricted-access sign-in system. Because we do not track users across unrelated websites for advertising, browser “Do Not Track” signals do not change the service’s current behavior.

5. Retention and security

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including operating the beta, responding to requests, maintaining business records, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations. Rate-limit identifiers are designed to expire after approximately one hour and expired records are cleared during normal service use.

We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information we process, including access controls, encryption in transit, request validation, abuse controls, and security monitoring. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

6. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, and to appeal a denied request. You may also unsubscribe from product emails using the instructions in the message or by contacting us.

To submit a request, email support@janimargin.com. We may need to verify your request before acting. Authorized agents should identify the person they represent and provide proof of authority.

California notice

The categories listed in Section 1 describe the personal information we may collect. We collect it from you and from service operation, use it for the purposes in Section 2, and disclose it to the recipients described in Section 3. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents may submit the requests described above without discriminatory treatment.

7. Children

JaniMargin is a business service intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the revised policy here and change the “last updated” date. If a change materially affects how we use information, we will provide additional notice when appropriate.
